ANUSHKA FINALLY ACCEPTS

Anushka gave her consent to be part of Tamil ‘Vedam’ too. She will do the same role that she enacted in Vedam, i.e. Saroja, a prostitute in the Tamil version also. Tamil remake is titled as Vaanam and the shoot will commence on Saturday.
There were reports in the media that Anushka might not do this role in Tamil for some personal reasons. However, Simbu and Manoj, who are playing the other two main roles in Vaanam repeatedly requested Anushka to be a part of it and the actress finally agreed to act in it.
Krish will direct the Tamil version and Yuvan Shankar Raja is roped into score the music. Nirav Shah handles the camera and Antony is the editor.

ASIN HUMILIATED YET AGAIN

Asin’s mixed experiences in Bollywood continue as she is consistently bagging some plump offers and at the same time losing few.
Recently, Asin was removed from Gharshana Hindi remake as John Abraham didn’t find her ‘sexy’ enough to do that role. He didn’t even bother to consider the fact that Asin did the same role in the Telugu version. John said that she is not looking like Bollywood material.
Now even before Asin swallowed that humiliation she was yet again kicked out of another Bollywood film. Asin was earlier roped into play second fiddle to Priyanka Chopra in Anurag Basu directed film, Silence, in which Ranbir Kapoor is doing the lead role.
Anurag silently removed Asin from the film citing ‘height’ problems. He told that the character demand a much taller girl and Asin didn’t suit it well.
Looks like Asin should think about making a legal agreement with whoever gives her an offer to avoid this kind of humiliations and late rejections.

A REAL MULTI-STARRER!

Vedam, which was touted to be the multistarrer film later turned out to be the multi-actor film. Therefore, Tollywood has to wait for many more days before it could witness a potential multi-starrer film. However, Kollywood is about to witness a multistarrer soon. Lingu Swamy, who is fresh from Paiyya’s success, is penning a script for Simbhu and Madhavan in the lead.
Recently Lingu Swamy met Madhavan and narrated the single line story that impressed the latter. Simbu, who is abroad shooting for his upcoming film Poda Podi heard the story line on phone and expressed his willingness to work with Madhavan. Lingu Swamy wants to cast Tamanna in this film after her beautiful performance in his film Paiyya.

ACTOR CHEATS HIS FANS!

The much hyped Diving scene in Raavan where we see Abhishek Bachan jumping from an 80 feet height into the water has ignited a controversy now. Abhishek boasted of himself of doing such risky stunt in the promotional events of Raavan. But the truth is he didn’t perform that dive in the film. A body-double was used to can that scene. Bangalore based diving champion MS Balaram did that stunt on screen and he was paid for it. Balaram is proud to be a part of Raavan, but Abhishek’s claims about the stunt didn’t go well with him. His story about the stunt was reported by a popular English Daily and now Abhishek is being termed as a ‘liar’.
Abhishek, who was not so happy with all the criticism on his performance in Raavan should be hurt by this latest controversy. Hmm… seems like Raavan turns a true Villain for Abhi!

IHLS IS A HUGE HIT

Karan Johar’s production I Hate Love Stories that was released on last Friday opened to houseful crowds all over. Multiplex junta and young audiences thronged to the theatres giving this small film a thunderous opening in the first weekend. It netted around 23 crores in 3 days only in India. The break up was 7 crores on Friday, 7.5 on Saturday and 8.5 on Sunday. However, shows were abandoned today due to Bharath Bandh.
This is the first hit for Sonam Kapoor, who played rather serious roles in contrast to her age in her previous films. She was being considered as the biggest assets of this candy floss romantic flick. Imraan Khan, who had a bad run after his successful debut Jaane Tu… is at home in doing this romantic tale. Despite the mixed reviews IHLS is going to be a blockbuster in terms of ROI.

GENELIA’S THREAT TO HANSIKA!

Hansika, who was head over heels when she bagged the role opposite Tamil superstar Vijay in his latest film Velayudham, is now back on her foot and also slightly threatened by the fact that Genelia is going to share the screen with her in this film. Genelia was roped in as the other lead lady in Velayudham. The very idea of competing with Genelia is sending shivers down Hansika’s spine as the former is to good an actress when compared to the latter. Hansika, who highly relies on skin show, is feeling the heat that Genelia might take away all the credit in this film. Genelia has done very few films in Tamil till now, but she managed to impress many with her chirpy and lovable antics. Whereas, Hansika is yet to make a mark for herself in Tamil cinema industry.

SR RESTARTS THE SCRAPPED FILM

Rana and Selva Raghavan both have been denying the reports that the supposed film in their combination has been put off for the moment. However, Selva Raghavan, who told that he was busy in getting everything ready for Rana’s film, suddenly re-started his scrapped Tamil film with Dhanush in the lead.
Selva Raghavan, earlier started ‘Nerathu Mayakkam’ with Dhanush and Andrea in the lead and shot the film for fourteen days and abruptly stopped the shooting and moved onto other projects. Now he re-started this film much to the delight of his brother Dhanush.
This film will also be dubbed into Telugu like Selva’s earlier films. Incidentally, this is Selva’s fourth film with his brother in the lead.

RAMCHARAN’S WARNING TO KAJAL!

Mega powerstar Ramcharan Teja who has been maintaining a grim face all the time seems to be keen on spreading the same. At least that’s the feeling a few got when they shared this story. It seems that he has given a friendly word of caution to the saucy seductress Kajal Agarwal. 

It is heard that Charan told Kajal that she looks sexy when she is serious and added that she must not giggle so much whenever she is at public events or social dos. He is believed to have told her that by maintaining that seriously seductive look, she will win more admirers. 

However, admirers of Kajal say that she looks more charming with her energetic and sprightly smiles. They say that sex appeal is written all over her even when she smiles so there is no reason for her to get serious. Well, only time will tell whether Kajal has heeded to Charan’s friendly-warning or not. 

Salman puts Asin in Ready-made trouble

After Salman Khan, it is the turn of Asin to face the wrath of politicos in Chennai. Asin has been criticised for shooting for Ready in Sri Lanka.

Apparently, certain politicians in Chennai are gambling on a recent decision by a filmmakers' association that they will boycott films that are shot in Sri Lanka. And they are making it very clear that Asin has upset them by shooting in Sri Lanka for Ready with Salman Khan. 

But Asin is unsure as to why she is being blamed, since she did not decide on the location. As an actress, she has to shoot where the director decides wants her to. 

But this has caused fresh worry for the actress who will be travelling to Tamil Nadu to complete a Tamil film she is acting in. She hopes this trouble will not cause her problems during its shoot.

TAPSEE INJURED?

The bubbly girl who made her debut with Jhummandi Naadam has bagged many films in Tollywood even before her first film hit the screens. She was overwhelmed with the response that she has been getting for her sex appeal in Jhummandi Naadam.
However happiness is now followed by pain for her as she was reportedly injured in a film’s shoot. As per the media reports Tapsee was hit by a cricket ball on face during the shoot of her latest film with Vishnu in the lead. She was rushed to the hospital and the necessary treatment was given. Hope she recovers soon.

Irfan Pathan dates Anusha

VJ and actress Anusha Dandekar was seen in the company of cricketer Irfan Pathan recently at a suburban five star hotel. Both were having dinner and an animated conversation. A couple of friends also joined them later in the night, but much, much later. People had already noticed the vibe.

When asked Anusha if she was dating Irfan, she denied it, saying, “No, not at all. I know Yusuf (Irfan’s brother) and him really well, so my sisters and I met up with all of them for dinner.” Anusha further said, “I know both the brothers from before and have known them from a long time.”

Anusha has been single for sometime now. She was earlier dating VJ Rannvijay before they broke off early last year.

Vidya Balan love with Director?

What’s brewing between Karan Johar and Vidya Balan? The latest is that the two have struck a new friendship after meeting and interacting at a recent function. Vidya was spotted sitting next to Karan there. Recently, Vidya was seen at Karan’s office in Khar, which is incidentally diagonally opposite to her new house. She was living in Chembur earlier.

A couple of days ago, she even went to Karan’s house at Union Park for dinner and was there for four hours. If all goes well, Vidya may soon find herself in one of Karan Johar’s forthcoming productions. Prakash Raj’s marriage preparations

South Actor Prakash Raj will marry choreographer Pony Verma on August 24 this year in  Mumbai. As per the sources many top celebrities from Bollywood will be attending their wedding on August 24.

Prakash Raj was previously married to Lalitha Kumari and recently got divorced in an out of the court settlement in 2009. “Pony has been dating Prakash Raj for two years now. Their relationship was kept under wraps until Prakash’s divorce came through last year in November.

Boney Kapoor, who launched Prakash Raj in Bollywood as the main villain in Wanted, is helping him with his wedding preparations in Mumbai. The source adds, “Stars like Salman, Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan are likely to attend the wedding on August 24.” Despite repeated calls, both Prakash and Pony remained unavailable for comment but a close friend of the couple confirmed the story.

Rana and Shriya are love birds?

Young Hero Rana Daggubati and Sexy Shriya Saran are more than friends? Yes, says Mumbai’s tabloid. According to the tabloid, the two were spotted at a five star hotel in Hyderabad.

Rana and Shriya looked completely in love. The report says that the two have been spending quality time together at every given opportunity.

Adds the source, “It’s a budding relationship and they are keen to know each other better before they can go public with it. But yes, it was definitely a case of love at first sight.”

Despite repeated text messages, Shriya did not respond. Rana Dagubatti could not be reached for comment.

NAMITA COMMITS SUICIDE?

The rumors about Namitha’s suicide attempt have shocked the Tamil cinema circles on Saturday. Gossips were spread like wild fire and many of her well wishers tried to contact her parents and manager to know when and where the incident took place. Namitha herself received few calls about her suicide and was shell shocked to know about the rumors.Later she called upon her manager to clear the air and he released a press statement that the actress is very much safe and is currently in Mumbai.
